On Tuesday morning, Bradburn arrived in Lahore after being appointed as the head coach for the upcoming New Zealand series.  He previously worked as Pakistan’s fielding coach for three years before resigning in October 2021, citing family reasons and the pursuit of “further coaching opportunities”.
Bradburn expressed his happiness at being back in Pakistan and receiving a warm welcome, saying it is an honor to serve Pakistan again. He has previously visited the country in 1990 as part of the New Zealand team and worked with the Pakistani team and coaches for three years from 2019 to 2021.

“I am eagerly anticipated to work with Mickey Arthur, as well as the team’s players and staff,” Bradburn said. However, Bradburn believes that there is a lot of talent in the team and is looking forward to working with them to make some real positive change.

Bradburn’s appointment comes at a critical time for Pakistan cricket. The team is currently ranked seventh in the world in Test cricket and sixth in One Day Internationals.
