Farah Gogi Legal Notice To FIA

In a surprising move, Farah Gogi, who is known to be a close friend of Imran Khan’s wife and associated with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, has sent a legal notice to both the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Interpol. This notice is in response to the FIA’s request to Interpol for red warrants against Gogi in connection to a money-laundering case.

According to a local media reports, Farah Gogi’s legal team sent the notice on Monday, stating that the FIA’s action was outside its jurisdiction and that the case was politically motivated. The legal team also said that corresponding with Interpol for red warrants against Gogi was a violation of Article 3 of the Constitution and that making the request public amounted to defamation.

The FIA had approached Interpol with a request to issue red warrants for Farhat Shehzadi, also known as Farah Gogi, in a money-laundering case. The agency filed an application with Interpol, stating that it had “irrefutable evidence” of money laundering against Gogi.a

It is worth noting that Gogi is a prominent figure in PTI’s women’s wing and a close friend of Bushra Bibi, Imran Khan’s wife. Gogi has been a vocal supporter of the PTI and has been actively involved in the party’s activities.

The news of the legal notice sent by Gogi’s legal team has sparked a debate on social media, with many questioning the motives behind the FIA’s actions. Some have accused the Pakistan government of using state institutions to target political opponents, while others have called for a transparent investigation into the allegations of money laundering against Gogi.

The opposition parties have accused the government of using state institutions to silence dissent and to suppress opposition voices. They have also criticized the government for its handling of the economy and its failure to tackle rising inflation and unemployment.

The legal notice sent by Gogi’s legal team is likely to further fuel the debate on the government’s alleged misuse of state institutions to target political opponents. It remains to be seen how the FIA and Interpol will respond to the notice and whether the allegations of political motivation will be taken into account during the investigation.
