In Muzdalfa Town, Chakwal, six members of a family were found dead, causing shock in the community. Authorities were alerted after Muhammad Shafqat Salim called for help. Reports say Shafqat confessed to killing his wife and children. The victims are Shafqat’s wife (aged 50-55), two daughters (14 and 16), and two sons (13 and 7). After the murders, Shafqat also took his own life.
Chakwal District Police Officer Capt Wahid Mahmood responded quickly. They, along with the deputy superintendent of police (DSP) and the station house officer (SHO), surrounded the area with police. Forensic teams were called to investigate, and the victims’ bodies were taken to the hospital for examination.
Despite the fast response and ongoing investigation, the reasons behind this tragic event are still unclear. The DPO said the investigation is ongoing and didn’t share more details.
As the community mourns this heartbreaking loss, authorities ask anyone with information to come forward.
