Direct Flights for Hajj Pilgrims to Makkah from June 5

Islamabad, June 3, 2023 – The annual Hajj flight operation, transporting intending pilgrims directly to Makkah, Saudi Arabia, is set to commence on June 5. This year, flights will operate from 10 cities in Pakistan, with the last flight departing for the holy city on June 21.

Departures and Itinerary:

The inaugural flight, scheduled for June 6, will depart from Rahim Yar Khan, followed by another flight departing from Sukkur on June 7. These flights mark the beginning of the journey for thousands of Pakistani Muslims embarking on the sacred Hajj pilgrimage.

Post-Hajj Flights and Return:

The post-Hajj flight operation will commence on July 4, allowing pilgrims to return to their home country. After completing the Hajj pilgrimage, the pilgrims will travel to Madina, where they will fulfill their eight-day stay. Following their stay in Madina, the pilgrims will directly return to Pakistan from Madina.

Medical Facilities and Support:

To ensure the well-being of the pilgrims throughout their journey, a dedicated team of over 137 doctors and paramedics will be available round-the-clock to provide medical facilities. These healthcare professionals will be stationed at various points to offer immediate assistance and care when required.

Fare Structure:

It is worth mentioning that for the second consecutive year, the national flag carrier has decided to charge fares in US dollars. The fares for pilgrims participating in the private Hajj scheme range from $870 to $1,180 for the southern region, which includes Karachi, Quetta, Sukkur, and Hyderabad. Meanwhile, the airfares for the northern region, encompassing cities such as Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Multan, and others, are priced between $910 and $1,220.

The commencement of the Hajj flight operation marks an important milestone for Pakistani Muslims, as they prepare to embark on one of the five pillars of Islam.
