RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir on Thursday reaffirmed the army’s commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against all forms of threats, said ISPR.
During his visit to forward areas along the Line of Control (LOC), the army chief was briefed by the Rawalpindi Corps Commander on the situation along the border and the operational readiness of the deployed formations, as per an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.
Gen Munir met with officers and troops at the forward positions, encouraging them to provide full support to the local population and maintain a steadfast and devoted approach to their duties. The ISPR statement noted that the COAS praised the troops for their unwavering vigilance, outstanding operational preparedness, and high morale.
According to the ISPR, the army chief reiterated that the Pakistan Army is committed to defending the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against all kinds of threats. He said that Pak Army is determined to support the Kashmiris and seeks resolution the issue as per the UN resolutions.
The army chief lauded the army officers and jawans for maintaining continued vigil and operational preparedness.
