Ali Zaidi resigns from PTI positions and quits politics

Ali Zaidi, the President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh, has announced his departure from the world of politics, joining a growing list of leaders who have recently made similar decisions. In a video message released on Saturday, Zaidi expressed his resignation from party positions and provided his reasons for leaving the political arena.

Zaidi stated that his initial foray into politics was driven by his commitment to serving Pakistan and that he had already condemned the events of May 9. He emphasized the importance of Pakistan’s armed forces, acknowledging them as a source of national pride and security. Zaidi voiced his disapproval of the incidents that occurred on May 9 and called for accountability for all individuals involved.

After careful consideration, Zaidi revealed that he had made the difficult choice to step away from politics. He confirmed his intention to resign from his positions as Tehreek-e-Insaf Sindh President, core committee member, and Member of the National Assembly (MNA) once he officially leaves politics. Zaidi expressed his desire to continue working for Pakistan by attracting foreign investments, a role he had fulfilled before entering politics.
