SHARJAH: Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by 66 runs to win the third T20I played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Monday.
Earlier, Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bowl first against Pakistan. Pakistan scored 182 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
Saim Ayub scored 49 runs off 40 balls. Iftikhar Ahmed and captain Shadab Khan also played handy innings.
In reply, Afghanistan bowled out for 116 runs.
Pakistan captain Shadab Khan and Ihsanullah picked up three wickets each.
Afghanistan won the series with 2-1. The hosts outclassed the Men in Green in all departments in the first two games.
Afghanistan created history by clinching the fist-ever series against Pakistan in T20Is.
Pakistan made two changes to the squad. Iftikhar Ahmed and Mohammad Wasim Jnr replaced Azam Khan and Naseem Shah.
