KARACHI: Azekah Daniel, a prominent Pakistani actress and model, announced that she has joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the main opposition party in the country, led by Imran Khan.

Azekah took to Twitter to share the news with her fans and followers, stating that she made the decision to join the party for the sake of her country. She was welcomed by PTI’s Sindh President Ali Haider Zaidi, who wrapped a PTI flag around her neck as a gesture of welcome.

Expressing her support for Imran Khan, Azekah shared several pictures with Ali Haider Zaidi on her official Twitter and Instagram accounts, and stated that the country needs to get out of the mess it is in and back on track with progress, as it was under PM Imran Khan. In response to her decision to join the party, the senior PTI leader expressed his pleasant surprise at her vision and understanding of the party.

Azekah’s decision to join PTI is not entirely surprising, as she has been a staunch supporter of the party and its chairman in the past. Last month, she took part in an Iftar dinner at the invitation of PTI MNA Muhammad Aslam Khan. She also had interaction with the other party lawmakers including MNA Aftab Hussain Siddiqui and Arsalan Taj.

Azekah Daniel is a leading actress in Pakistan, having played prominent roles in popular dramas such as Noor Jehan, Malaal-e-Yaar, and Tera Gham Aur Hum. Before entering the entertainment industry, she was a member of the cabin crew at Pakistan International Airline (PIA).

Azekah’s decision to join PTI is a significant development in Pakistani politics, as it highlights the growing appeal of the opposition party among influential figures in the entertainment industry. With her large following and popularity, Azekah’s support could prove to be a valuable asset for PTI in the upcoming elections, which are expected to be fiercely contested.
