MILAN: Italian football giants AC Milan extended greetings to Muslims worldwide on the occasion of Mawlid Al-Nabi (S.A.W), observed on 12 Rabiul Awwal, ARY News reported on Friday.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the Serie A club wrote:
“From the Rossoneri family to the Islamic world, wishing you all the best on the occasion of #MawlidAlNabi.”

Mawlid Al-Nabi (S.A.W), also known as Eid Milad-un-Nabi, marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is observed by Muslims globally with gatherings, prayers, feasts, and processions, particularly among followers of the Sufi and Barelvi schools of thought.

Meanwhile, on the football front, AC Milan have had a shaky start in the ongoing Serie A 2025-26 season. The Rossoneri are currently at eighth place on the points table after suffering a 2-1 defeat against US Cremonese and securing a 2-0 win over Lecce.

Founded in 1899, AC Milan is one of Italy’s most successful football clubs, with 19 Serie A titles, 5 Coppa Italia trophies, and 7 UEFA Champions League victories to its name.
