ISLAMABAD – An Islamabad court on Friday handed over Hassan Khan Niazi – nephew of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan – to Quetta police on one-day transit remand.
Hassan Niazi was picked up by police outside the Judicial Complex in Islamabad on Monday.
The police team left for Balochistan after taking custody of the PTI leader. Earlier, the police reached the sessions court to arrest the nephew of Imran Khan.
Judicial magistrate Abbas Shah accepted the plea of police and handed over the accused to police on one-day transit remand.
On Thursday, the Islamabad sessions court sent Hassan Niazi to jail on a judicial remand in a case related to violence outside the Islamabad Judicial Complex.
The former prime minister Imran Khan and other party leaders condemned the arrest of Hassan Niazi.
