WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, announced that users can now link the widely used communication app to up to four devices, even if their phones have lost their battery.
The instant messaging app took to Twitter to share the news, stating that users can now keep their chats synced, encrypted, and flowing without a charger. Additionally, they introduced a new app for Windows to make linking devices even more straightforward.
With a faster loading time and a familiar interface, chatting between devices will feel seamless.
To better serve its users around the globe, WhatsApp regularly updates its features. The messaging service has recently released several new and exciting updates to enhance the user experience.
WhatsApp has made changes to its group functionality, increasing the number of participants that can be added to a single group from 512 to 1,024. This update allows for more users to be added to a group without any concerns over space.
Additionally, WhatsApp has given more control to group admins by enabling them to approve new member requests. With this new feature, group admins can review pending members by opening the “Pending participants” option or by tapping the in-chat banner.
Another update WhatsApp has introduced is the ability for users to see groups they have in common with a contact they are searching for. This feature is especially useful when users remember the name of the participant but not the group’s name. By providing more information in the search bar, WhatsApp has made it easier for users to connect with the right group.
