Tharparkar: Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari praised the federal government’s initiative in the inauguration of the Thar coal power plant.
Thar coal program is a joint venture between the Federal Government, the Sindh government, and private companies to develop coal resources in the Thar Desert, intending to produce electricity and create jobs in the region.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari praised the Thar coal program and highlighted the potential of the project to create economic opportunities in the region. He emphasized the importance of clean energy for the country’s future and stressed the need for investment in renewable sources.
During the event, the chairman of the PPP (Pakistan Peoples Party) expressed his appreciation for the economic policies of the government, praising the ruling party for delivering on their promises and leading the country towards economic growth. He also emphasized the importance of cooperation between the federal and provincial governments to create jobs and reduce poverty.
The foreign minister also spoke about the job opportunities that this project would create, not only for the people of Thar but also for people from other parts of Pakistan. He expressed his excitement about the collaboration between Chinese and Pakistani workers on this project and mentioned that the federal and provincial governments would continue to work together on other projects in the future.
The inauguration was also attended by other political leaders, including Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, federal ministers, and representatives from the private sector. The Thar coal program is expected to produce up to 6,000 MW of electricity by 2030, contributing significantly to the country’s energy needs.
Finally, he concluded by saying that Thar would change Pakistan, and this project is a unique opportunity for Pakistani and Chinese people. The inauguration was also attended by other political leaders, including Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, federal ministers, and representatives from the private sector.
