The beauty of Al-Hamra Art Council faded away due to littering and trash on its premises, exposing the negligence on the part of the staff concerned, the latest report said.
Al-Hamra Art Council is the centre of literary and cultural activities as many cultural and literary activities take place there on a daily basis.
The Al-Hamra Art Council hosts a variety of events and programs throughout the year, including art exhibitions, musical performances, theatre productions, literary events, and workshops. It also offers training and education in various art forms to young and aspiring artists.
It was also learnt that the people who daily visit it also do not care much about its cleanliness and especially those who go there to get training in different fields of art.
The ticket house at the entry gate of Al-Hamra Art council is also in poor condition which also reflects the bad image of such an important institution.
Taking notice of the literating and trash on the premises of Al-Hamra Art Council, Executive Director Nazia Jabeen expressed serious concerns.
She visited different areas of the building and got furious over the poor cleanliness situation, and warned the cafeteria management of cancelling their contract over trash and poor cleanliness.
Nazia Jabeen also directed the cafeteria to provide quality food to the people visiting it.
During her visit, Nazia Jabeen also conducted an assessment of cleanliness at different parts of the building and directed the staff to ensure that the premises were clean.
She also assessed the security situation of the building and gave certain directions to the relevant staff to remain vigilant.
Recently, Lahore Literary Festival was also held there where thousands of people took part.
