Bringing honor to Pakistan, 10-year-old Muhammad Bashar from Swat secured fourth place in a worldwide Quran recitation competition held in Algeria. Bashar participated in the “Mazamir Dawood” competition, organized by Algerian private media outlet Echorouk. The event took place from August 18 to 31 and featured participants from over 15 countries.
By securing the fourth position in this prestigious competition, Bashar earned a prize of $1,500. His achievement underscores the strong cultural and spiritual connections between Pakistan and Algeria.
Echorouk hosts this event annually, highlighting the talents of young Quran reciters from around the world. Additionally, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments of Algeria organizes an international contest each year under the patronage of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
