Sherry Rehman: A voice for climate change
Jennifer Morgan, Germany’s State Secretary and Special Envoy for International Climate Action, has penned a message to Sherry Rehman. As Pakistan’s Minister for Climate Change, Rehman gave a voice to those who had lost everything to floods caused by the climate crisis. Pakistan is responsible for only a fraction of global emissions, yet the country was hit hard by flooding in the past year, with more than a third of the country affected. Sherry Rehman is a Pakistani politician, journalist, and diplomat who has been actively involved in the country’s politics for several decades. She is a member of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and has served as Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States from 2011 to 2013. Rehman has been a vocal advocate for democracy, human rights, and gender equality in Pakistan, and has worked tirelessly to promote these causes throughout her career. In addition to her political work, she has also been a prominent journalist, serving as the editor of Pakistan’s leading English language daily, The News International.
SRK: The greatest actor of all time
Deepika Padukone, Bollywood actress and close friend of Shah Rukh Khan, writes about the Bollywood superstar’s generosity, chivalry, and intelligence.
