RAWALPINDI: The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that three terrorists were killed during an Intelligence Based Operation in the general area of Loesum, District Bajaur. The operation involved a fierce exchange of gunfire between the security forces and the terrorists, resulting in the elimination of the three terrorists.
According to the military’s media wing, the killed terrorists were found to have possessed weapons and ammunition, and were actively involved in various terrorist activities, including extortion, target killings of innocent citizens, and attacks against security forces. The locals in the area applauded the operation and expressed their unwavering support for the security forces in their efforts to eradicate terrorism from the region.
On Tuesday, the security forces had also conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Nurar area of Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in the killing of three terrorists, said ISPR.
The ISPR further disclosed that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the scene.
The ISPR also revealed that the terrorists were involved in activities against security forces and were responsible for killing citizens. The locals in the area praised the operation and expressed their support in eliminating terrorism from their community.
