Sanam Marvi graces New York Times Square

Spotify’s EQUAL Pakistan programme has named Sanam Marvi, a renowned Sufi and folk singer from Pakistan, as its ambassador for the month of April.

In recognition of this honour, Marvi was recently featured on the digital billboard at Times Square in New York City. Spotify shared the news on its Instagram account, inviting people to listen to Marvi and other amazing female artists on the #EQUALPakistan playlist.

Marvi has been captivating audiences around the world with her beautifully melodious voice for over 14 years. She joins the ranks of other legendary Pakistani musicians who have previously graced the billboards at Times Square, including Tina Sani, Nazia Hassan, and Hadiqa Kiani, as well as more recent sensations like Natasha Noorani, Natasha Humera Ejaz, Momina Mustehsan, Hassan Raheem, Eva Baloch, and Shae Gill.

Marvi’s appearance on this iconic billboard solidifies her status as a major figure in the global music scene.
