LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the residence of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Ch Shujaat Hussain in Lahore to inquire about his health and discuss the political situation in the country. The visit took place on Sunday.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister and PML-Q chief Shujaat Hussain discussed the ongoing political landscape of Pakistan. Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi also accompanied the Prime Minister during the visit.
A significant point of agreement between the two leaders was the condemnation of the violence that occurred on May 9. They expressed their commitment to ensuring that those responsible for the violence would be brought to justice.
Notable figures in attendance at the meeting included Federal Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema, Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and Chaudhry Shafi Hussain, among others.
Earlier, Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that women involved in attacks on military installations will be arrested at all costs. Naqvi made the statement on May 21, 2023, while addressing a press conference in Lahore.
Naqvi said that the women who were involved in the attacks on military installations had committed a serious crime. He said that they would be arrested and brought to justice, regardless of their gender.
Naqvi also said that the government would take all necessary steps to ensure the security of military installations. He said that the government would not allow anyone to disrupt the peace and security of the country.
