ISLAMABAD: PML-N leader and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan is not a politicians, asking the public to realize the bitter facts about him.
“I ask this fitna that what kind of politics is it?,” the interior minister questioned the PTI Chairman while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.
Rana Sanaullah said that the civil and military installations were attacked during the protests against the arrest of the PTI chairman in Al-Qadir Trust case.
He claimed that the protests took place at 12 places in Islamabad and about 600 to 650 people took
“15,000 to 20,000 people took part in the protests that took place at around 221 places in Punjab on May 9,” said the interior. He claimed that 13,000 people took part in the protests held in KPK. He also presented the figures of the protests and the numbers of the protesters on May 10, May 11 and May 12.
“On May 9, 40,000 to Rs50,000 people took out to the streets against arrest of Imran Khan,” said Interior Minister, adding that it was not a public reaction. He stated that these miscreants were fully trained who were nurtured by the PTI leadership.
“They were trained to make petrol bombs and throw stones at others,” said the Interior minister. He rejected Imran Khan’s claim that the whole nation was standing by his side as only 6000 to 11,000 people took out to the streets on May 11.
He regretted that the banks were looted and the cattle market of Peshawar was also looted, adding that it was very awful.
This man, he said, was accused of Rs60b and he could not deny of these charges. The Interior Minister also named Malik Riaz in his press conference, saying that the UK authorities banned the said property tycoon over the said amount of Rs60b.
He said, “240 kanal land was registered in Bani Gala while other property was bought for Al-Qadir Trust. Imran Khan was booked and arrested in this case,”.
He lauded TLP for organizing its workers despite that they had not been actively involved in service of the country but PTI failed to organize its workers. He accused Imran Khan of sending video messages to its workers and inciting the party workers.
During his press conference, the interior minister criticized Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial, saying that he being the top judge welcomed Rana Sanaullah, declared his arrest illegal and ordered the authorities for his stay at Guest House.
“After the Chief Justice’s welcoming gesture and good wishes, what the worth of the high court or the session court is left?,” he asked. He stated that if Imran Khan had asked any other relief the CJP would have given him that took.
“The courts also gave him relief in the cases which were still the minds. What is this?,” said Rana Sanaullah, accusing the PTI leadership of training the party workers as “miscreants”.
He said that the such developments were awful but the facts would come out to the limelight, and the public would know the reality.
“The public should reject such Fitna through the power of the vote. If he is not rejected in the elections he will lead the country to any disaster like situation,” he added.
He also said that the PTI had gangs in almost every city, vowing that the government would bring all these gangs to justice.
“The crimes they have committed are documented and all those who are involved in the violent protests will be brought to justice,” said the Interior minister.
