LONDON: Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif has called for forming a full court bench of the Supreme Court to hear the election delay case.
Addressing a press conference in London on Friday, the former prime minister said that the full bench decision will be accepted to the nation.
The PML-N leader said that why he was disqualified by the apex court judges. He asked the questions from former chief justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar and other judges. “Why I was ousted,” questioned the PML-N supremo.
He said that these apex court benches put Pakistan in this challenging situation. This is not an ordinary issue, he added.
Nawaz Sharif said that the country is standing at a critical juncture. People should stand up, and ask justice (r) Saqib Nisar and others judges why Nawaz Sharif was ousted, he opined.
The former premier said the nation was put into debt and the country will not afford more sufferings.
“A joke is being made with the country,” the PML-N leader said, adding that the US dollar was at Rs105 during his term as prime minister. If the current situation of the country does not change, the dollar may touch Rs500, he feared.
