Four rescue workers die due to collapse of factory building

KARACHI: A fire broke out in two factories in the New Karachi industrial area, causing a portion of both buildings to collapse during the cooling process. As a result, four rescue workers lost their lives, and thirteen others were injured.

Firefighters were dispatched to control the inferno and managed to extinguish it, but the cooling process led to the collapse of a section of both factories. Rescue operations are still underway at the site.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the bravery of the firefighters who sacrificed their lives while trying to control the fire. He expressed his condolences and sympathies to the families of the martyred firefighters.

The Prime Minister instructed the Sindh government to provide financial assistance to the families of the victims for their children’s education and other forms of support. He also directed the authorities to develop a comprehensive strategy to prevent fire incidents in the future.

Shehbaz Sharif expressed his solidarity with the injured and instructed the government to provide them with the best possible medical treatment. He also prayed for their speedy recovery. The incident highlights the need for better safety measures in factories and workplaces to prevent such tragedies from happening in the future.
