The families that were evacuated conveyed their appreciation to the government and expressed gratitude to the PAF for their prompt rescue operation during the rapidly worsening conditions in Sudan.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has welcomed the return of the first batch of evacuated Pakistanis and assured that the government will continue to work until every Pakistani in Sudan is evacuated and brought home safely.

Since the start of the conflict earlier this month, the Foreign Office has been actively involved in repatriating the stranded Pakistanis from war-torn Sudan. As per the Foreign Office, more than 700 Pakistanis have been successfully evacuated from the conflict zone to safety.
